The Pontevecchio has been recommended to me a a primo Italian restaurant in the Boston area. This was a reliable source but I haven't been there yet. I am looking for an authentic Italian reataurant as they exist in Italy, with good, real crusty italian bread and plati made with the best oil and cheese and sauces prepared from scratch, not from a can.
Can anyone verify if the Pontevecchio fits the bill or at least comes close? I grew up in an Italian household and am very choosey and most restaurants never seem to make the grade. Thanks for any and all info. Mille gracie
