Po' boys to go for airport; and my visit plan

Hello... I am a semi-regular on the Southwest and South Chowhound boards, and I have really enjoyed reading the information on the New Orleans board.

I have not been to NO in a couple of years, but will be making a very quick trip next Saturday, with my 4-year old son. We are taking advantage of a $39 rate on Southwest air from Birmingham. We are arriving at about 9:30 AM and leaving the same day about 6:30. I am renting a car, so we can get around.

Our plan is to get in the car, and hit Acme's lakefront location when it opens at 11, both because of easier parking and because I love grilled shrimp, and they are not offered at the Quarter location. Dad will have oysters and we will share grilled shrmip and red beans and rice.

We are going to do the usual tourist stuff, see the aquarium and ride the riverboat, and we are planning on leaving the quarter around 4 to catch our flight home. I would love to get a couple of good po' boys to enjoy at the airport or on the flight home.

This leads to my question. Where would you stop, preferably not too far off the track from our path to the airport, to pick up po' boys to go?

My first instinct is Domilice, simply because the very first shrimp po' boy I ever had was from Domilice on December 29, 1989. You can tell what a moving experience that was, since I remember the date nearly fourteen years later.

I am not sure I could find Domilice again (it's been fourteen years, dammit) and I am not sure if there is a better alternative around. I don't even know if Domilice is open at 4 PM on a Satrday.

Anyway, this is a very long way of asking if there are any good places to pick up a good po' boy on our way to the airport. Any other suggestions on what might interest a 4-year old and his dad on a Saturday in NO would also be appreciated.
