I had great food and service at Shula's Steak House in Tysons Corner last night.
The lobster bisque had nice sized pieces of lobster in it. The bread they served fresh and hot.
When they served my steak, they asked me to please cut into it to be sure that it is as I like. I have been to many top steakhouses and no one had ever asked that before, I like that idea. It was a perfect pink (just the way I like it, I know others prefer a darker red). It had terrific flavor served with mushrooms on the side. My wife had the four pound lobster done perfectly.
We did not have wine last night, but their wine list appeared extensive.
Dinner was topped off with a "volcano cake", a chocolate pound cake filled with hot fudge served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (my only suggestion was it should have been chocolate ice cream) and whip cream on the side. This was a perfect ending to an excellent meal.
Their service was also wonderful, they were there when they needed to be without being intrusive.
YES...We can recommend a chain.
