Plancha/teppanyaki/flat top grills

I was finally able to use the new Demeyere plancha/teppanyaki, what an experience. I had it over two of the three front hobs on our Electrolux range top. I was cooking a steak dish and actually had the two hobs on different levels, one side hot and the other not so hot. The idea was to brown the steak on one side of the teppanyaki and then hold it on the other side while caramelizing onions and fungi on the other side to make a "sauce" for the steak. It worked out really well and what was most impressive was how easily it cleaned up. There were a lot of brown bits that had me concerned, but they washed right off with a minimal amount of scrubbing. Overall I'm impressed.

I also recently bought a "Little Griddle" for the outdoor gas grill. I've used it mostly for breakfast with hash browns, bacon, and eggs. It's more of a hassle to clean, but overall not as bad as I might have thought. It does work well on the grill.

Any thoughts about using the Demeyere teppanyaki on the gas grill? I don't want to screw it up and I do have an alternative with the Little Griddle. There are a few things I want to try on the outdoor grill plancha style. This one for example: http://www.bonappetit.com/test-kitche...
