was Place Yuu fka Yuu?

Dbird | Jun 18, 200310:53 PM     6

I have tried several times wihtout success to locate Yuu which I understood to be in a mini-mall on the northeast corner of Santa Monica and Sepulveda (or thereabouts)-- now wondering, did it move and become Place Yuu on Sawtelle, where I have not been? Can anyone comment on the food? I was thinking it would be something like Ita-cho which I liked better on Highland but have enjoyed since too. Any other suggestions for similar places with small dishes (sashimi, nasu miso itame, pickled lotus root, matsutake soup!), esp. if they have nice sake lists and are open late, too, would be appreciated. West side and downtown especially.
