Uh, I mean, four words.
Picnic Catering Costa Mesa
What the heck - for the rest, (I don't have the address, but its in the 400 block on 17th in the same center as Scrapbooks and Mail-to Go), I found this place today and talked with the Chef (Robert) after I ate my lunch of appetizers; one teriaki beef skewer with sesame seeds, one chicken walnut salad on carrot canape (less than 2" dia) topped with a small piece of pear, one shrimp on a small potatoe pancake and something green leaf or a ring of green onion, one spiced cheese-filled cherry tomato, and a special free item because I wasn't in the mood for the goat cheese that was in it (remarkably unnoticeable with the basil taking over).
They have sandwishes and salads, too. They had a good list of sandwiches - I noticed a muffaleto. The chef was a private chef for four years. They have been open four months.
