I've been to the Grimaldi's in Brooklyn years ago and it was great.
I've been to the Grimaldi's in Bell Tower 3 times since it opened in November and each time the pizza has been delicious. The pizza has a flavorful thin crust that is perfectly browned. Very little sauce and not too much cheese, no gooey, cheap cheesy mess like most pizzas here and everywhere for that matter. The cheese is fresh mozzarella, the toppings are the real thing.
The beer is super cold, another plus when eating pizza. They have a fairly good wine list for a pizzeria. The decor is whimsical, recalling subways, old New York and speakeasy type places. The staff is young but well trained. We were at a fundraiser at Bell Tower the night of the gas line explosion. Grimaldi's had only been opened a few days but they handled the onslaught exceptionally well (using a coal oven, they were one of the only restaurants able to serve)
One question: is it really the WATER that makes the difference in that crust? LMF
