I just read through the thread of 98 posts on an old search for pizza in Vancouver. Great source of ideas but none of the comments mentioned outdoor side walk tables.
We will be in town for 3 days (this summer) and would enjoy a pizza one night for a sit down dinner. We are looking for a special crust--light, airy, chewy--not deep dish or the ultra thin dried out cracker crust. I realize that everyone has different ideas of what constitutes "the best" but hopefully someone will be able to give me good advice. We are always in search of specialty toppings (goat cheese and high quality cheese, sun dried tomatoes, white pizza, homemade sausage?) and stay away from the traditional greasy red sauce pie with pepperoni.
We will be staying at the Westin Bayshore but will have a car available. So far I have read about:Firewood Cafe, Zaccary's, Ragazzi, Lombardos. It's so hard to choose from an internet photo!
Is it possible to have great pizza and sit on a sidewalk patio? The only one I could find so far is Martini's Whole Wheat Pizza. Any comments about Martini's or would appreciate any other suggestions.
