Pizza Stone Mess

Once again, carbon-dating takes on a new dimension in my kitchen. One false move, and a crust stretched WAAAYYYYYY too thin (no, I didn't think that was possible, either...) created an astonishingly awful mess on my pizza stone...The question is, do I leave it in the oven, and assume the low pilot heat'll bake it away enough to just scrape it off in a day or so, or do I have to start soaking and scrubbing with something metallic? (I don't have a self-cleaning oven) It was really well-seasoned, about 7 years old....
