I used to like Marcellios on Erie. Not a classic New York style slice (don't worry, I'm not trying to revisit that argument), probably too much cheese, and the slices were was kept in a warming tray, rather than put back in the oven. Still, they were tasty, filling and cheap. About 4 months ago, however, they shut down. No warning, no signs, no nuthin'.
So, I'm seeking good (or even decent) pizza by the slice in the River North area. There is a place on Grand, just east of Orleans, which looks a lot better than it is--big fiery ovens, pizza being made in front of you, just not great pizza.
