Lillian is probably the best pizza place I've been to in NYC. However, Forest Hills is too far from where I live right now (Chinatown) to get a slice every other day... or more frequently.
Any pizza in the area; hell, any pizza in Manhattan that's just as good or better, in a similar style? I don't really care about price.
My other favorite pizza place is Salvatore's in Port Washington.
As for a description of these slices: I don't know much pizza language, so forgive me here, but I do know that the pizza has a thin, crispy crust. Crispy is important. Also, good cheese to sauce balance, not too oily, and the sauce isn't too sweet either. "Similar to what I had when I was in Italy, except with a slightly thicker crust" is what I would call it. Hope this helps.
