Never made cinnamon rolls before. I attempted pizza dough cinnamon rolls this weekend, tasted great but looked like a hot mess. They were falling apart (not tight like rolls should be) and there clearly was too much filling (bubbling all over the bottom). Any guidance would be great - I do want to make them again since it was super easy!
Thing that maybe contributed to this?
- Didn't pack the cinnamon rolls tightly in the pan, spaced them out quite a bit
- Too much filling, wet mess at the bottom
- Let the dough sit out for 5 hours before I had a chance to stick them in the oven
- Pizza dough is just not a good substitute for cinnamon roll dough
