[Pittsburgh area - Beaver Falls] Oram's Donuts!

I posted a short review about a childhood favorite in the area (see the Frank's Pizza review for Ambridge, PA) and was asked by e-mail for some other recs - here's one of my favorite places to go when I'm back home in the Pittsburgh area.

Oram's Donuts, in Beaver Falls, PA, has been churning out some of the best donuts in the country since '38. Ask any millworker in the area and they'll swear by them. Thick, perfectly greasy, heavenly cream fillings, you'll swear off Krispy Kreme and Drunkin' Donuts for sure.

Problems - they open early and sell out early. Go after 10 am on Friday and Saturday and don't expect to have many choices. The creme horns and cinnamon buns are also transcendant.

I pretty much guarantee that this is one of the best values for sixty-five cents in the country. Certainly my favorite donut in the world. (Though strangely enough I did have a fantastic one in, of all places, Seoul, South Korea.)
