I am looking for a recipe for piroshki just like my Latvian grandmother used to make. I've seen recipes for pirogs (or pirogis) where they are boiled or fried. And I've been to Russian bakeries and tried them there. But they are not what I am looking for. What my grandmother used to make was different. Hers were small, she made a yeasted dough, that she filled with a ground pork and onion mixture and then she baked them. I have only had piroshki like this once, at a Latvian church gathering. Does anyone have a recipe or know where I should look for one?
