Not in Carmel but we headed to Pigwizard's new sandwich shop at the Coast Guard Pier for their Labor Day pig roast. There was a bit of a rush at 11:30 when the pig was ready and my husband pressured me to hurry up and make up my mind as the entire Coast Guard was descending, so I blurted out "1!" 1 turned out to be a good choice though I think what I actually received was a combination of 1 and 3 as they were out of the regular Silician sausage and I ended up tomatoes instead of onions and peppers. I didn't get a chance to peruse the regular menu (choose your own style) and deli case until later. A couple of side salads looked good and I want to try the scotch egg and bacon pan de chapa next time. My husband had a pulled pork sandwich which was on the small side (but not their regular sandwiches) with a side of mac and cheese that were part of the pig roast today which he enjoyed.

Il Grillo brings on Brandon Miller as new executive chef
