I've scoured the board, read Willinger and Plotkin, consulted other sources, and this is our second trip, so I've got a long list of places to hit during our 10 days in Piemonte. But of course I'd welcome recent recommendations, enthusiastic affirmations of previous recommendations, etc.
Will skip Torino, based 8 days in a house near Nizza Monferatto so looking especially for places to buy dinner ingredients -- markets, amazing cheese, meat and bread shops, and enotecas where we can sample wines to our heart's content (maybe with a little food)and take a bottle or two home for dinner. Suggestions for post-market lunch destinations welcome. Nothing too too upscale.
Would also love a suggestion for a warm, relaxing, jet-lag friendly lunch spot for the day we arrive, somewhere betw Turin airport and first night's destination of Cuneo. And a long lunch spot for the Saturday we leave, between the house and the airport.
