Piccolo Angelo - Report

Overall, it was a good experience and reasonably priced. The plain bread was a bit stale, but it didn't bother me since I gorged on the garlic bread, which was a big mistake, since the portions were large. To start, we had mussels agliata - lots of garlic. When I got home, my bf said that i reeked of garlic. For my entree, I got the lasagna with veal and beef sauce. The sauce was plentiful, and I really could taste the veal. The lasagna itself was overwhelmed by the sauce - so I don't remember much about the lasagna, except the pasta wasn't tough.

My friends had the lobster cannelloni and cannelloni bolognese. From the bites I had, they were both very good. We shared the cannolli, and the cannolli had a different taste than others. The filling is not as sweet, and there was a sliver of orange peel (I think) on top. It was good though. I would go back when I'm in the mood for large, family-style portions of Italian.
