Picadillo Soup at the Spanish Bakery in St. Augustine FL

mefirst | Feb 10, 201508:17 AM     3

Have you been to the Spanish Bakery in St. Augustine FL? For about $5 they have a "lunch deal" which includes a fresh baked roll, bowl of soup & a cookie. The Picadillo Soup was delicious - similar to a beanless chili but soupier and not quite the same spice family. If anyone can direct me to a recipe I'll be eternally grateful - for many reasons it's unlikely we'll ever get back to St. Augustine but the Spanish Bakery was always one of our favorite places.
