Got some pho takeaway at Saeng's Kithcen in the Town Center West shopping center off S Broadway, near Mervyn's.
Not a pho expert, but have had several delicious meals at Lucky Pho in Stockton. As I ate it at home, not excactly the same experience, but nice clear, flavorful broth, fresh basil and cilantro and crispy mung sprouts made this just the ticket on a cold and blustery day for lunch.
The window sign and menu states:
"Lao, Thai and Chinese Cuisine. The only Golden Triangle restaurnat in town." Chinese food is served buffet style and a al carte, and the Lao and Thai are listed together on the menu.
The host was very pleasant, and eager to talk to me about Lucky Pho, and their own style pho dishes which are: Beef, Pork, or Chicken/ Seafood/Special(Beef, tripe, and tendon)/Vegetarian. Ranging from $6.95 to 7.95.
The specifically listed Lao dishes listed are: Kowpoone Poong--Lao noodle salad, Khowpoone--Lao noodle soup.
Would love to hear if any other hounds have dined here and what you might think/recommend.
