I haven't seen this place discussed on this board, but it has the best pho in the area. There is a large variety of broths and ingredients and the broths are savory and piquant. Most pho joints I've tried have a broth base ranging from dishwatery to falling just short of what I feel it should be. Pho Quyen is right on the money in terms of savory deliciousness and fresh ingredients. The lunch special includes a huge bowl chosen from about twenty varieties with a large plate of fresh peppers, herbs and sprouts and two wonderfully crunchy spring rolls stuffed w/carrots, pork sausage and garlic for $6.75. They come with a variety of noodles and some of the heartier stews (which seem more French than Vietnamese) are served with a crusty baguette. Pho Quyen is located in a crumbling strip mall on northbound 355 between Shady Grove Road and Montgomery College.
