Petrino's Greek Restaurant, La Mesa Review

jill kibler | Jan 10, 201505:56 AM

My family ate here for dinner last night. We had chicken shawarma, beef gyros, and Greek chicken, and a fattoush side salad. Both sandwiches were well prepared with cucumber, lettuce, tomato, and feta and were delicious. Sandwiches were served with either fries of salad, and a WONDERFUL tzaziki sauce that was very yogurty! Both sides were also good. 4-5 dollars. My husband, a good eater, ordered the Greek chicken plate. 8.99 for half a beautifully prepared chicken on a bed of yellow rice, a little salad, and pita. The chicken was marinaded and grilled to perfection. There was so much food, my husband needed help! The side salad fattoush was fresh, well balanced and delicious. We can't wait to return for felafel and the homemade yogurt desserts!
