My last few visits to Peter's Inn have been somewhat disappointing. Gone are the days when their chalkboard menu listed one vegetarian, one poultry, one beef, one seafood, a pasta dish, and maybe one or two other entree selections. The board now lists only 2 or 3 entree selections that include Peter's signature garlic bread and salad while the remainder of the selections are denoted as appetizers. Prices are not the bargins they used to be, and to make matters worse, the quality of food preparation has declined. Maybe it's my imagination, but I can sense the passion for food that once diffused throughout the dark, smokey bar appears to be gone.
A few years ago, Peter's was serving some of the best food in Baltimore, especially for the price. Now, the kitchen seems tired.
Do others share in my observation that Peter's Inn has slipped a few notches or have my last few visits just been "off nights"?
