the perfect little sandwich in newtown square

YUM. last week's quest of a fabulous tomato/moz sandwich lured me no less than 9 miles away from work on my lunch break. three trips later, i'm happy to report i think i've found the world's best deli.

a cut above deli
in newtown square. just past the intersection of routes 252 and 3, heading east towards broomall on 3.

go early, as i've heard they are quick to sell out of their fresh rolls from sarcone's. all the other ingredients are of the same caliber - all fresh, high-quality and high flavor. the moz is spectacular. emphasis is definitely on the meats here, but as a vegetarian i had no trouble finding exactly what i wanted. 10/10 for food.

ordering is a little awkward, partly because of the carry-out only setup with no real waiting area. walk in the door, and everyone shuffles a few steps in various directions. it's crowded, no doubt, but fast. either way, another reason to get there early. 11:30am starts to get crowded for lunch.

i repeat: carry-out only... be prepared to eat in your car or while driving or in the parking lot! (i've done all three now.) definitely worth the drive.
