Hey LikesToEatOut...this one is for you...
For breakfast, drag the family across the river to One World. Good coffee and baked goods. A nice atmosphere in the mornings before the too-cool-for-Bradley Bradley students shows up.
Also, the Indian lunch buffet down the way is just amazing! If you are going to strap on the feed bag, there is no better place to do it.
Plus...it's sacriledge to be in Peoria and not swing by the Ice Cream Shack for their "Wizards". Wizards are the best way to survive August in Peoria.
All right, I haven't lived in Peoria for 3 years now, but I'm returning in a few weekends.
Where can I go out for lunch or dinner that will be good, not a chain, and I can sit and catch up with old housemates? We are going back to check out the campus and I'd like to talk everyone into either lunch or dinner in town. We are all fairly adventurous, but I'm predominantly vegetarian so a steakhouse is pretty much out. We will also have an 18 mo baby, so the small, intimate restaraunt might not appreciate us.
I would love to try Lebanese, if anyone can remember a name and a location.
Also, when we were still students there, some good restaraunts were coming in down by the water front (not on the riverboat and not in the Alexander's complex). Are there any good places still open down there?
