We are planning on going to Shanghai Terrace in the Peninsula Hotel tonight for the Peking Duck, though my wife is a bit under the weather and we may have to reschedule. This will (would) be my first time at Shanghai Terrace and by all accounts should be an exceptional meal. Shanghai Terrace has an interesting Peking Duck presentation, a 5-course pre-fix dinner, which must be ordered in advance.
-Roasted Peking Duck wrapped with pancake.
-Peking Duck salad.
-Wild duck soup.
-Stir-fried roast duck winter bamboo-fried rice or stir-fried noodles.
-Sake marinated exotic fruits, coconut sorbet, sesame snap, passion fruit foam.
Does anyone have a favorite Peking Duck spot? I'm not talking about roast duck or 'mandolin' duck, (which has a very Peking Duck like flavor) from a Chinese BBQ joint, but an actual two or three course Peking Duck service.
If we do go to Shanghai Terrace tonight I will submit a full Chowhound report, which I imagine will be quite positive.
