My pes soup is not thickening! I placed one pound of green split peas-only soaked for one hour and then rinsed-into a stock pot. Then added a leftover from Easter (very meaty) ham bone covered with water and a littlle chicken broth,carrots,onions and spices.This all was brought to a quick boil -turned to simmer and has now been on the stove for two hours! Will it thicken or did I add too much liquid? How to correct it now? The peas are very nicely breaking down!
