[PDX] Taqueria Updates (Ochoa in Hillsboro and Iguana Feliz near airport)...

Just returned from 10 days in Mexico, Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta. Ate about 4 meals a day. Yum, yum, yum. First day there, I was walking by an Italian place and the hostess was trying to get me to come in. I didn't and she said, "Maybe when you're tired of Mexican." I thought, yeah, like that'll happen.

First day back yesterday and I was already jonesin' for a taco. Only one place in town can compare, Iguana Feliz. I swear, for the meats they do -- asada, carnitas, birria, pollo -- they are as good as any taqueria in Mexico. Now for the update: they now provide free chips, apparently. Went in yesterday, ordered two tacos, got the usually free radishes and salsa, but also a third ranchero style salsa and some chips. Very good chips. (btw, ordered a third taco after. I was full, but...)

Before I left I went to Ochoa in Hillsboro. It looks like there are a lot of options, as in Gresham, that'd I'd like to try out there. Got the recommend for Ochoa from this list, though. It's pretty good. The best thing about it, imo, is the options. You can get things like huaraches that you can't find at most other taquerias. If anyone has a more thorough experience of the Hillsboro taquerias, I'd love to hear an overview. Still would love to hear and overview of Gresham Mexican, too. Both places have high concentrations of Hispanics and I would think would have some real gems.
