Went to the apple tasting today. See pics at the link below. There was caramel apples, streudel, apple cider, music, several chef's demos, face painting and couple other activities for kids, and some crafts, jars of honey, and jams for sale. But the best thing, of course, was the opportunity to try 44 types of apples and 9 types of pears. Really it was overwhelming. The line took a while and I'd recommend bringing some cheese to eat so that your palate doesn't become numb to the apples' flavors.
The non apple tasting stuff is a bit lame, but it's worth taking 15-30 minutes and trying all the apples. You can buy them all out of big bins, too.
