[PDX] April 2005: People's Farmer's Market Report...

Was in SE last Wednesday -- a beautiful day -- so I stopped by The People's Farmer's Market. It was a good opportunity to take some pictures and to taste some of Fressen's baked goods. Fressen's breads are dense, moist, a little sweet, and very hearty. I think they're a good addition to the bread community, though I'm no expert on German-style breads.

I always enjoy myself at the People's Farmer's Market and feel the need to buy a few things. In summer, when I miss the Portland Farmer's Market, I try to stop by here to get some of Osmogaia's great tomatoes. Sunbow Farms always has some interesting produce as well. Wild Things can be hit or miss, but there's usually one or two items that catch my eye.

Finally got a chance to try Wingnut's chocolates and I thought they were pretty decent, especially for being vegan.
