None of us have been to Alba Enoteca & Osteria before, but I've read of several appetizers and pastas that have been praised here and on portlandfood.org.
As for main courses, two of our party of four prefer meat or fish to pasta. These two guys always arrive hungry, with healthy appetites. Any stellar choices for meat or fish dishes at Alba?
Also, I'll be interested to try some of their wines. Two of us don't drink heavy, tannic reds, such as Cabernet Sauvignons. Any other bang-for-the-buck preferences you can recommend by the bottle *and* glass?
