I went to a Korean BBQ restaurant in Las Vegas and the waitress never brought us the garlic, hot peppers, and lettuce leaves for wrapping . Eventually we asked her for it and she said that it'll cost extra for the lettuce leaves since our pan chan(small app dishes) came with a salad. We were fine with that as both my sister and I really wanted to do that wrapping. It ended up costing $3 on our bill. I know it's not a ton of money, but I've never been charged for lettuce leaves for Korean BBQ just b/c their pan chan included a small salad. If that's the case, I wish she would've asked us if we preferred the salad or the lettuce leaves/garlic/red sauce with our BBQ meats.
Is this normal at some restaurants? I've been to many BBQ places in NY/tri-state area and it's always included.
