Greetings, all. Discussions about rollers on this site are very dated, so I'm asking for input on a new post.
I've finally decided to make some space in my kitchen for a pasta machine/roller/maker, and I've got three options in the used-merchandise markets. Please let me know if you have any experience with the following:
- Atlas. Not sure of the exact model, but it's older. The man selling it is cleaning out his elderly mother's home. An older post here mentions that Atlas handles fall out easily, but I'm kind of hoping this model would pre-date that problem.
- Higmark Pasta Queen. Cheapest option, but they seem to be the cheapest new as well. Online reviews are few, and they seem to indicate that the newer models are junky. This would be a newer one.
- Titania (Imperia). Imperias seem to be fine, but I can't find much information on the exact Titania model that this one appears to be. Seller says the machine is a few years old.
My instinct tells me I should get the Atlas, but that seller is asking more than the others and I don't get the impression he will go down in price. I would love to hear that a Pasta Queen (Himark) is just fine, but I'm doubtful. The only Titania "reviews" I see are online demos, and it seems fine in action.
