Pasta Fresca in Shrewsbury, NJ

This past saturday night I went, expecting the usual carefully prepared food and good service, and was sorely disappointed. It was crowded, which is a testament to the quality food I suppose, but the crowd must have overloaded the small restaurant. The service was extremely unattentive, and there was a five minute lag fro the time the first person got their entree to the past person. As the food went, it was under the usual standards too. I had a spicy seafood chowder which was quite good, brimming with fresh fish. However, it was served more lukewarm than piping hot as a soup should be. Had the salmon as an entree, which is usually excellent, served with olives, artichokes, and sundried tomotoes. If was a overcooked this time around. I also had a bite of my wife's risotto. It was slightly undercooked, a bit too hard for me. I guess it didnt cook quite long enough to develop the usual risotto creaminess. I would return to Pasta Fresca, but probably not on a weekend.
