Passage to India - Bethesda

Pappy | Jan 4, 2008 05:53 AM

Another wonderful meal at this treasured oasis in Bethesda. Setting and service are exemplary. Bombay martini perfectly executed. Wine list is dismal, stick with Kingfisher beer. Tandoori Salmon, Lamb Vindaloo, and Chicken Tikki Masala were all rich, deeply flavored, and yet still vibrant. Roasted eggplant and onions was smokey and compelling. Nan was warm and toasty. Don't forget the two sleepers on the back page of the menu...the Pickle Plate and Spice Plate ($2.50 each) which push this great Indian meal over the top.
