While I'm safely ensconced in NYC, a friend of mine is attending a wedding in Wilkes-Barre, and he (who doesn't come to Chowhound) asked me for a recommendation for last night.
I printed out some recommendations and thought that Pasquale's might have sounded like the best bet for his group.
Tonight I got a call from him, saying that his party of eight all loved Pasquale's, the superb bread, the rest of their food, and the attentive service by the entire staff. The owner spent quite a bit of time chatting with them, too, mostly about Italy.
The bride had emailed a bunch of recommendations for restaurants for out-of-towners, and her list was full of chains. Thanks so much, Mosca, and the other regular posters about W-B, for saving them from a mediocre meal.
