Pasadena Sandwich Company -- review

The Oracle | Jul 11, 2006 10:05 PM

Just got back from another excellent lunch at Pasadena Sandwich Company. The meats are fresh, the cheese is generous, service is fast, and everyone is SO friendly -- there is so much to love about this place.

I always get their "TTC" (Trust the Cook) - they warn you that it's big -- and indeed it is. Today's lunch surprise was pastrami on the bottom layer (SOOO meaty and very little fat -- it's easily just became my favorite pastrami) and turkey & cheese on the top (very fresh!), 2 thick slices of jack(?) cheese, it was triple decker style on soft white bread, with yummy mustard, tomato slices and shredded lettuce - and sides of pickle wedges (so perfectly crisp and flavorful!) and peppers. The sandwich easily feeds 2 (and even eating 1/2, I could barely finish it). I wish I had my camera to post a picture.

They have a front counter area that has a bar and some tables -- and then another seating area on the side. It's nothing 'fancy', but clean and quite easily a favorite spot for a quick, non-nonsense, satisfying lunch.

The damage for a TTC: $7.25 (most sandwiches range from $6-7 - they have a variety of sandwiches (all types of deli meats and cheeses)) - and all appear to be pilled high with meaty goodness!
