I'm scouting for restaurants in Pasadena --also open to other nearby areas -- for my mom's retirement party. It's on July in the evening. I was thinking outdoors for 60 people.
So far, I've narrowed my search to 3 choices based on availability of private rooms or areas, not necessarily for the quality of food. I need some input.
1) Twin Palms - I haven't been here in ages but their menu options are affordable and they have built in entertainment. Outdoor location and fun ambiance is a plus. Service and food quality from my past experience may be scary but I don't know. Maybe we'll get better service for a large group.
2) Delmonico's - I like the patio; the menu is more exciting than Twin Palms...previous experience with food quality has been hit or miss. Their banquet coordinator is really friendly and seem eager to assist with my special requests.
3) McCormick and Schmick's - I love the location; esp. the patio. But okay...the food definitely sucks and service is questionable. Maybe the food quality and service is better for a banquet?
Any input on the above would be greatly appreciated. Also if you have any other suggestions, I'm open to them!
