Park Plaza and convention help

TrishUntrapped | Feb 1, 2006 04:36 PM

I am so glad to be visiting Boston in a few weeks for a convention. We will be staying at the Boston Park Plaza (where the convention is being held),

I went to school at BU and lived in Brookline so I'm very familiar with the city and after the car is parked will be using the T to get around.

Hope you can help me.

About 10-15 of us might want to go somewhere for chinese food. I was thinking Golden Temple in Brookline. That place always made me laugh. Do the hounds here recommend it (Been years since I've been.)?

Are there any other chinese food rec's that are good for a group without advance reservations? Because I won't know till last minute if we are going. Just want to have my arsenal ready.

Also, near the Park Plaza, either within walking distance or short T ride are there any other good spots to recommend for dinner with a group like ours? Heavy drinking will be involved. Not elegant, but price isn't a main issue. We need to be able to unwind.

Thank in advance.
