We took our girls, 7 and 10, to Paris over New Year's. Thank you to everyone who gave us your restaurant recommendations. Here are our reviews ...
We absolutely loved and would go back to Les Fables de la Fontaine. The food (primarily fish) was delicious, the restaurant was small and charming and the service was great. We also enjoyed Chez Georges very much. It is a quintessential bistro; the food was very good and the staff very kind and welcoming. Great buzz, filled with Parisians. Both Mon Vieil Ami and Au Bon Accueil were very good (husband and daughters particularly loved what they ate at Mon Vieil Ami). La Rotisserie d’en Face was disappointing. Comfortable and nice atmosphere, but the food was bland.
Lunch at Laduree (corner of Rue Jacob and Rue Napoleon) was a highlight. The food was delicious and special, and they were very accommodating for the girls. Reserve! We were there on New Year’s eve day and it was fun to see the locals buying macarons, chocolates and pastries.
Lunch upon arrival at Café Les Deux Maggots was good and a fun way to begin our trip.
We also happened upon and ate lunch at: Mandarin St. Germain – 5 rue Montfaucon (near rue du Four and Bd St Germain) – very good Chinese food.
