Paris in the 9th near Moulin Rouge

My fiance and I are travelling to Paris together for the first time and will be spending the first week in March there. We are from Seattle and are foodies that love tasting new dishes, tasting local wines and trying new experiences. We will be in Paris for 6 days and want to sample some of the wonderful restaurants, bakeries, wine shops and cheese shops nearby or not so nearby. We've even been taking French classes to help us communicate when we are there! But we are not so not very good quite yet. We are staying at a upscale hotel that hopefully can help us with reservations, but any advice from any of you knowledgeable men or women, I would deeply appreciate. Merci beaucoup!
