Parents Anniversary--in Chinatown financial district--need some suggestions-Help!

Hello:

I am flying in to SF and meeting my parents for a long weekend to celebrate their 45th anniversary and my birthday. I am coming in from Bangkok so Thai and Vietnamese is not an option for food.

Family food backround: Father will NOT wear a sports jacket and mother likes the finer things. They hate the young loud pretty scene and prefer excellent simple food to "fancy food" (Ritz Carlton is way to fancy for them). They are not into zagats ratings and do not like to spend over $70 per person for a meal. They like great food, good value nice atmosphere so they can talk. Seafood, Sushi, Steak, Chicken...all fine. Any suggestions?

We arrive end of August. Anything near the hotel in Chinatown or North beach would be convenient.

Thank you in advance.
