Papri Chaat on the Westside?

Pei | Sep 13, 2006 12:18 AM

I have a craving for this Indian side dish which I call "Indian muesli."

The base is thin, milk-like yogurt. They throw in cooked chickpeas, tamarind sauce, deep fried strips of dough (like tortilla or samosa skin), cubes of potatoes, and some other things.

It's served very cold, and the combination of the different textures, sweetness, saltiness, and spiciness is just perfect.

Has anyone seen a good version around here?
