First try at Filipino restaurant in the Chicago area.
Started out w/the recommended (by the waiter) Lumpia Frito (eggroll). Was very mediocre. Also tried the BBQ Pork appetizer, which I really liked (to be honest though almost any meat that has been marinated and then grilled I will really like).
For lunch ordered the Pork Adobo. Which were cubes of pork marinated in wine vinegar, soy sauce, garlic/onions. I expected to like this dish very much, but was disappointed.
It was ok, nothing special.
Took home an order of the Pancit(noodles) w/shrimp to have for dinner w/the wife.
The pancit w/shrimp was a very good dish, w/a nice lemon twang to the taste. We enjoyed it.
Based upon the pancit dish, I have decided to go back and try Pampanga's again.
