Pao de Queijo part 3

Driggs | Dec 1, 2002 04:15 PM

So I finally had some Pao De Queijo from Copacabana pizza on 36th av between 31st and 32nd st. I was told that this was the best in Queens. There was a batch coming out of the oven in 20 minutes so I asked that 5 be saved for me. Not on par with the best you can get in Sao Paulo, still not far of the mark. The outside was more brittle and flakey than I am used to (there is often a slight crunch to the outside). The inside was almost perfect; chewy and moist. Often what you get in the big meat houses here is way to dry. Still all in all was the best that I have had here. Would like to try Cantina de Brazil (near broadway and 32nd) but they dont seem to have it every day.
