For the past several years we have hosted a July 4th party for about 8-10 families, which is about 25-30 people including kids. I have always made ribs and all the appetizers and sides. Only thing that gets farmed out is dessert. It usually starts in the afternoon and goes into the evening.
This year both of my kids will be in camp so I am thinking of having a party only for adults in the evening and I really don't feel like serving ribs.
My parents live in Florida and they have had a paella chef come to their house for parties and they make the paella on-site. I like this idea but I don't know where to find a paella chef or catering company that would do this. I don't want to get paella from a restaurant...I want it cooked on site. Kind of like this:
Only problem with this is that for a Saturday, they need a 40 person minimum and we'd have closer to 25.
The other option would be some kind of clambake. I know that Eastchester Fish does something like this but not sure who else. There are some older threads on CH about this, just nothing that recent.
Any thoughts on who might do either of these parties in Westchester?
