I recently came across http://chicago.seriouseats.com/2012/0...
this article was in serious eats about the best pad thai in chicago-- they bring up a good point that americanized pad thai is different from super traditional pad thai, but that in most restaurants in the US americanized pad thai is usually our only option, so they judged by noodle, wok char, the unity of ingredients that came out of the amalgam of peanuts/lime/tamarind in the pad thai... It made me wonder if this list still rings true in the Chi-- what are your favorite places for pad thai in chicago? I'm not a PTO (I learned this acronym on chowhound and think its great) but there's something about good pad thai that is really comforting.
This list mentions:
Veggie options would be highly appreciated as well.
