Pacific Mall food find

Nyleve | Jun 4, 2006 10:07 PM

It's not actually IN the Pacific Mall but there's an Asian supermarket in the same complex - called Food Fair. A bit difficult to notice unless you know it's there because they've papered over the windows for some reason - but it's in the row of shops just along the east side of the parking Lot. ANYWAY I was there this afternoon and picked up a whole soy sauce chicken for $4.99 which is cheaper than buying a raw chicken and cooking it yourself. A bit heavy on the five spice powder but still delicious and juicy. They have all the other usual suspects - duck, ribs, pork, etc. - all at very good prices and the quality looks excellent. Also lots of great produce deals - perfect beautiful mangos at $7.99 for a case, really nice looking greens, some really nice king oyster mushrooms at $6.99 for a package and the fish counter looks decent (although I couldn't get anything today).

Just wanted to share.
