Ozumo Last Night

Being a sushi and asian food lover, I was very excited to go out to dinner at Ozumo last night. The menu was interesting and fun to read - wonderful and interesting sounding flavor combinations matched with high end ingredients. Being in the mood for sushi; however, and being sat in the sushi bar section (of the impressivly large interior) I ordered off that menu.

I was so dissapointed! The pieces of fish for nigiri were fine but small, expensive, and by no means outstanding. The crab for the spider roll had been fried in advance and was cold and soggy. The rainbow roll tasted of japaneese mayo and not much else. In addition, there were not many interesting fish offerings on that menu. Is Ozumo just not the place for sushi? I had heard so many good things about this restaurant and am shocked at how little I liked it.
