They list it as Baby Oyster Omelette(Chiu Chow Style). So much closer to the flavor I remember from Taiwanese Oyster Pancake. I've been looking in all the wrong places: Laifood, David's Taiwanese...etc. Most of those served in Taiwanese restaurants in Queens have the gooey texture, but are tasteless. The ones I had last night at Sun Golden Island 1-3 Elizabeth(at Bayard) were thicker, perhaps with a different starch, and came with a small saucer of very salty fish sauce. It just had a smokey flavor that I realize was missing in all the other ones I've had in Queens.
These were even better the next day, heated up in a cast iron pan, perfect savory breakfast with a bowl of congee.
