I will be visiting New York, and I am interested in visiting as many chow-intensive ethnic neighborhoods as I can. Can anyone outline for me the most excellent chow-intensive ethnic neighborhoods in northern New Jersey, and what the major chow landmarks are in them (restaurants, markets, bakeries, etc)? They should be easily accessible by public transportation from Manhattan. I realize that many of these areas have probably already been discussed on this board; if so, maybe you can at least tell me the name of the neighborhood and I can start searching from there.
I greatly appreciate your help.
